OXCGN: Resident Evil Revelations 2 is completely stuck in my mind. I relish the recent memories of shooting my slow-reloading gun into creepy, slow moving enemies in a dark, abandoned jail cell. I already know that I wont forget this game anytime soon and Ive only finished episode 2. Each episode is divided into two halves; one where you play as Claire Redfield alongside Moira Burton, the other as Barry Burton and Natalia Korda. Within each pair one character is able to use weapons, whilst the other needs protection and survives mostly by running away a creative move that works well for the horror franchise.

Xbox One UK are here again, with Contemplation the second episode of Resident Evil Revelations 2. Episode 2 begins with an overview of the first Episode which does a pretty good job of summing up the events so far. Once again you take control of Claire Moira, as they reach a small town and find a few of their former colleagues. The game takes a slightly different approach to episode 1, as for the majority of the first part youll be accompanied by a 3rd person.

I dont know why that makes sense but somehow it does, says Moira Burton in Resident Evil Revelations 2: Episode 3: Judgement, as she completes a puzzle which - in typical Resident Evil fashion - is devious, but defies any kind of real-world logic.

It certainly helps that last week we saw a nail-biting cliffhanger that involved one of the series most iconic villains, at least in some fashion. While other developers have tried releasing games episodically before, Capcom is able to perfectly capitalize on it, maintaining the attention and excitement of fans for over the course of a month, rather than having an unknown release dates and people losing interest. With only one more episode to come after this, Resident Evil Revelations 2: Judgment has a lot riding on it to compel us to come back for the finale."

Unlike past Resident Evils, Revelations 2 is being released as a series of weekly downloadable episodes, with the whole game available to buy on a disc on 20 March. Episode 1 features two stories, both set on the same fortress-like prison island.
